Registration FAQs
I’m traveling to the US from another country. How do I get a visa letter to attend I/O?

If you require a visa letter regarding your Google I/O attendance, please indicate so when completing the registration form and we’ll email it to you within 7 business days. If you haven’t received your letter or have questions regarding the process, you can contact io18@google.com. Google won’t be able to contact an embassy on your behalf.

I got an invitation, but when I try to register, it says the event is full.

An invitation is not a guarantee for a ticket. Tickets are available first-come, first-served. You can still join in on the fun remotely via I/O Extended and our livestream.

I already confirmed my ticket, but something came up and I won’t be able to attend anymore. Can I cancel?

Yes, you can cancel your ticket until April 10 via your I/O profile page. After that date, sales are final and refunds can no longer be issued.

I registered for I/O under my nickname. Will I be able to attend I/O?

No. We’ll need to verify your registration details against a government-issued photo ID when you come to pick-up your badge.

I need a receipt for my ticket purchase.

You can access your purchase receipt on your I/O profile page at any time. If you need additional information in the receipt, please contact io18@google.com, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request.
